About Us

We started our activity at Bombay in 1968 as a component manufacturer. Soon we grew into a company providing complete cable termination solutions. Today SUPER INDUSTRIES has three plants in two different states of India engaged in design, development and manufacture of Cable Glands, Cable Lugs and other related electrical wiring accessories. Apart from local bodies our products have also been tested by BSI-UK.

Standards and approvals : At SUPER INDUSTRIES we are following strict inspection procedures,that are laid to ensure excellent quality of products and services. To maintain the quality of the goods, each lot of products is inspected at various stages of manufacturing and assemebly.
Testing Facilities : Test as per Bs61212 Pt1 Proof Torque Test Armour Clamp Tensile Test Electrical Continuity Test Load test for type “A” Glands Seal Test

The cable glands are manufactured in compliance with BS6121 PT1:1989 and performance requirements of EN 50014 : 1992. Some of the glands have been successfully tested for IP66 rating by BSI-UK. Our products are approved at Cental Mining Research Institute, Dhanbad (INDIA) for use with flameproof equipment. Our designers can also provide gland to suit any special / non-standard cable. .

Materials and Finishes :
Cable glands are made of high grade brass as standard. Stainless Steel, Aluminum are also available on request. Glands are available natural in colour without any surface coating as standard. However NICKEL, TIN, CADMIUM plating also available on request.

Copper cable lugs are mode of 99.7 pure electrolytic copper at 95.0% IACS, as standard. However 99.95 pure copper at 99.9% IACS with or without oxygen free grade also available on request. Copper cable lugs are TIN plated as standard. NICKEL planting available on request.

Aluminum cable lugs are made of pure 99.95% electrolytic Aluminum at 60.0% IACS. ALUMINUM cable lugs used for XLPE cables are pre filled with oxide inhibiting compound and capped to avoid corrosion due to oxidation.
